Star of the Week

Lillian was Star of the Week this week at preschool!

my lil star

I still don’t know what all it means except that she got to be the line leader and tell the kids “enjoy your food” before lunch.  I’m sure there was more to it than that but that’s all she’s sharing!  It also meant that she would give a presentation for Show & Tell on Thursday.  This presentation was good language practice for all of us.

When I asked Lillian what she wanted to teach the class about she answered, “princesses” and she wasn’t budging on that.  My wheels starting turning trying to figure out how we were going to do that.  Tianna came to mind, New Orleans own Disney princess.  I suggested she do her presentation on New Orleans.  She agreed.

On Wednesday they told us we had an extra day to prepare b/c Thursday was going to be a Stone Age Party!  Check out Lil’s outfit she made at school!

So today Lillian taught her friends about New Orleans using the local language and shared King Cake with them.  Enjoy the pics.
